FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
WWIR Donates 100% of RadioLoyalty Earnings to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, beginning Christmas Day, 2013!
Hollywood, Florida – December 25, 2013 – The more people that listen to our station, the more money will be raised to help the children suffering from cancer,” says WWIR Co-Owner, Mark Lamdanski.
World Wide Indie Radio, or WWIR, is an internet-based radio station that plays music from emerging artists around the world. Founded in 2009 by Mark Lamdanski and Carol Riordan, the station has built a loyal listener base and provides excellent exposure for the hard working, do-it-yourself musicians.
Mark says, “We’ve been looking for a way to raise funds for St. Jude for a while now. It breaks my heart to think of all the sick children that just want to live life. They should be able to enjoy their childhood.”
WWIR has been using RadioLoyalty (http://www.radioloyalty.com) as a means to earn a little money to help cover expenses. By listening to WWIR through the RadioLoyalty app, users also earn points. The more they listen, the more they earn. These points can then be redeemed for merchandise in their store.
“Everyone is always bombarded with requests for financial contributions to charities. That’s all well and good, but, we didn’t want to be just another company asking for money. So, we decided to take the funds we earn through RadioLoyalty and donate every penny. All we need is for people to listen. That’s it. It costs absolutely nothing for someone to listen. In fact, the listener actually gets rewarded with the points! It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”
WWIR will continue to offer many options for listening; in-page, iTunes, TuneIn, the WWIR App, tool bar, Shoutcast, Audiorealm and more. They hope, however, that listeners will choose to help the St. Jude Children’s Hospital by using the RadioLoyalty app.
To listen, go to http://www.wwirradio.com and click on the LISTEN LIVE logo at the top of the page. RadioLoyalty also has iPhone and Android apps that you can find at http://www.radioloyalty.com. Just search for WWIR or Butterflies Radio (the name of the parent company). You will need a free account at RadioLoyalty in order to earn points.
