It felt so good to be back on the air again this week, after being away for 2 weeks while Mark and his family moved house! Yay, I missed our live shows and our Twitter Family!
We had a special April fool’s Day guest this week, and he was a lot of fun! Country artist BILLY KAY returned to this week’s Twitter Tuesday Live, for a second visit! I couldn’t believe that it was back in June 2011 when were first introduced to Billy and his music, how time flies! Since then, Mark and I are proud to say that Billy has become a very good friend. Besides talking about his music, we got to find out a bit more about Smallville where Billy is currently residing, better known of course as Clifton Tennesee! What a difference from the bright lights of Las Vegas!
Besides all the banter, Billy talked about his new album BELLMORE and during the show; we featured 3 songs from that album:
WHERE WAS I WHEN WE WENT WRONG
This album can be purchased from
(btw, most of the proceeds from Billy’s music goes to a charity)
Also check out Billy’s web page, it is probably one of the best band pages I have seen : http://billykaymusic.com/
Mark and I have started an new trend for every guest that appeares on our show this year. We thought it would be a bit of fun if we got our guest to take a selfie of themselves during the show, so far noone has refused! Thanks Billy!
Check out the hour-long show from this link and you can also find out about the new book Billy and I are starring in called Pirates of Desire! http://www.wwirradio.com/home/2014/04/01/episode-141-will-billy-kay/
Join us next Tuesday 8th April 8pm EST when our guest will be BRONI, a Folk/Pop Singer/Songwriter all around fun guy, from Melbourne, Austraila. We are looking forward to catching up with him again! http://bronimusic.com
Mark Lamdanski and I put in a lot of work for the Independent Music Industry and the Independent artists that we have interviewed over the past 3 years. We find we get very little back in the way of support for what we do. It is really nice when an artist like Rick Brindell writes an article like this! Thanks also to Walter D Hargrave for all the hard work that he puts in too!
I would like to encourage anyone reading this to have a look at what we do at WWIR and find out what Twitter Tuesday Live is all about. http://www.wwirradio.com/home/twitter-tuesday-live/

INDIE MUSIC BUS – ARTIST OF THE MONTH
“Born in the concrete jungle of New York City, and raised in a revolving door of homes in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., Ohio, and Massachusetts, singer/songwriter David Gielan paid his musical dues early on. With a wide range of ability, Gielan cultivated a rich, musical foundation at the legendary, Manhattan School of Music, studying Jazz instrumentation and vocal performance. David, equally skilled at singing, guitar, piano, and percussion, not to mention his exceptional skills as a record producer, David seemed to excel in every area. David furthered his playing and songwriting as a music major at Ohio Wesleyan University, ultimately continuing his musical emersion at Berklee College of Music, whose attendees include Grammy-winning and multi-platinum artists Paula Cole and John Mayer”.
David will be promoted by Indie Music Bus for the month of April. For more details please check this link http://indiemusicbus.com/
FRANK PALANGI released his brand new single this week. HOPE can be found on CD baby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/frankpalangi6 Mark and I will certainly be putting this song on our rotation!
“Palangi fuels a feeding frenzy of contemporary rock with that gritty old school kick. His style is like a high end sports car with a 1970 Muscle Car. At the core is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a unique bass rock voice constantly pouring his heart and soul in to his work. You can hear mixtures of his influences but can tell he is not copying any one sound off the bat. Where there is smoke, there’s fire but there’s always a breath of fresh air to hear a new and exciting artist that’s not afraid to take chances with his music.
2014 brings the brand new single called “HOPE” produced by Palangi himself. With Michael McManus (Saving Abel, 12 Stones) on drums and recordings done at Chris Henderson from 3 Doors Down’s studio (Rivergate), Frank is not stopping with expanding his talents. He says, “It’s not only a positive rock song but it’s more because it’s a message. I also wanted to give back to the fans and release the track for free (on the sites that allow free downloads) and reach out to people that may be in need and help with an uplifting message.”
He is currently working on other new music this year as well.”
Frank has appeared twice on Twitter Tuesday Live and Mark and I know he is heading for bigger things in the not so distant future! Recently he got to open for 3 Doors Down, which just happens to be one of his favourite bands!
For further information on Frank Palangi please check out his web page: http://frankpalangi.com/
Frank was proud to have opened for 3 Doors Down earlier this year, how awesome was that!
Please check out our interview with him back in June of 2013 http://www.wwirradio.com/home/2013/06/18/episode-109-featuring-frank-palangi/
“Where the Lights Glow” is a beautiful song, just released by Australian singer/songwriter LILI KENDALL https://lilikendall.jammer.fm/#4777 awesome song, and one that we hope to add to our rotation very soon!
“16 year old Brisbane Artist Lili Kendall wrote her first song at the age of 11. It wasn’t long before people started taking notice of her striking voice and lyrics, written with a maturity well beyond her years. By age 13 she was a regular visitor to LA where she worked with various songwriters and producers to develop her career. February 2013 saw Lili release her debut EP, ‘Beginnings’, which was well received in Australia, The UK and the USA. Building on the positive attention ‘Beginnings’ had achieved, in September 2013 Lili released her next single, ‘Move’. This song has been Lili’s most successful track to date with good radio play in Australia, along with being licensed for a Jones New York advertising campaign in the States.”
To hear more about Lili, please check out our recent interview with her: http://www.wwirradio.com/home/2014/02/04/episode-135-featuring-lili-kendall/
